Read Roam Revel plans immersive experiences for readers throughout the South Jersey and Philadelphia area — fantasy balls, reading retreats, and bookish events built for people who love living inside a good story.

Realm & Revel is our inaugural Fantasy Ball, an annual celebration for fantasy and romantasy readers. The 2026 theme is Starfall. It takes place Friday, October 30, 2026 at Stotesbury Mansion in Philadelphia. This is a 21+ event and valid photo ID is required for entry.

The dress code is Formal Fantasy — think gowns and formalwear with a fantasy twist. See the Fantasy Balls page for inspiration. Sneakers, jeans, flip flops, and casual clothing are not allowed.

No weapons will be allowed inside of the venue, with the exception of costume elements made from foam, plastic, or other material incapable of causing injury.

No. Realm & Revel is a dance and revelry event, not a seated dinner — expect to be on your feet and moving through the evening.

No — flash tattoos are available on site at an additional cost beyond your ticket price.
